Performance Improvement of Random Access by Prioritizing Collisions

چکیده

The importance of unlicensed spectrum is highlighted in terms the flexibility network deployment for various services envisioned 5G and beyond. Since listen before talk mandatory channel access it causes an unavoidable waste resources due to collisions, efficient random backoff mechanism required. In existing schemes that impose waiting penalties on collided packets, a degraded fairness performance observed. this work, we analyze how prioritizing packets can improve compared schemes. To end, devise scheme called Collision Priority Backoff (CPB) under concept giving priority packets. We apply Bayesian optimization carefully determine parameters CPB maximize throughput. optimized require number stations network, also adaptive version Adaptive (ACPB). deal with environment where changes as switching bandit problem, employ variant upper confidence bound policy ACPB. Various simulation results validate proposed shows high throughput performance.

Prioritizing Disease Genes by Bi-Random Walk

Random walk methods have been successfully applied to prioritizing disease causal genes. In this paper, we propose a bi-random walk algorithm (BiRW) based on a regularization framework for graph matching to globally prioritize disease genes for all phenotypes simultaneously. While previous methods perform random walk either on the proteinprotein interaction network or the complete phenome-genom...

Random Access Performance of Distributed Sensors Attacked by Unknown Jammers

In this paper, we model and investigate the random access (RA) performance of sensor nodes (SN) in a wireless sensor network (WSN). In the WSN, a central head sensor (HS) collects the information from distributed SNs, and jammers disturb the information transmission primarily by generating interference. In this paper, two jamming attacks are considered: power and code jamming. Power jammers (if...

the role of application of dynamic assessment approach in improvement of iranian efl writing performance at different language proficiency levels

the present study sought to investigate the role of dynamic assessment (da) in improvement of iranian efl writing performance at different language proficiency levels. to this end, after conducting the quick placement test, 60 iranian efl learners were assigned to two groups with different language proficiency levels. in both groups each participant wrote two compositions, one before and one af...

Limiting performance of frequency-hop random access

The multiple-access capability of asynchronous frequencyhop packet radio networks is analyzed. The only interference considered is multiple-access interference, and perfect side information is assumed. Bounds are developed on the probability of error for unslotted systems based on the distributions of the maximum and minimum interference levels over the duration of a given packet, and these are...

Queueing performance improvement with random order dispersion

This paper analytically studies queueing performance improvement with traffic dispersion. We model sources and paths between sources and destinations as generalized binary Markov sources and discrete-time queues, respectively. We suppose that random order dispersion is employed in packet network, and we examine the effect of random order dispersion on the asymptotic tail distribution of the que...
